In case you’re unfamiliar, a little introduction to Fred Phelps and his brood of fellow crazy as fuck followers:
- Pastor Phelps and his family (who run the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas) have decided the answer to the question ”What Would Jesus Do?” is issue statements like, ”God Hates Fags,” “Thank God for Dead Soldiers,” “America Is Doomed” and “Priests Rape Boys.” Anyone who doesn’t want to boil homosexuals in hot oil is a ”fag-enabler.”
- The group’s main website is called — oh, you’ll just love this — God Hates Fags. Other sites run by the church are (I shit you not) God Hates Ireland, God Hates Sweden and God Hates Canada. They found a motto that works for them and they’re sticking to it, I guess. Because it really is all about branding these days.
- Surprise — they hate Jews, too! In statements about Wesley Clark and John Kerry, Phelps said: “[L]ike his boss [John] Kerry, Clark is a Jew… That these two turds are Jews would not matter — except when they ask for supreme political power and spit in the Face of God…Apostate fags and Jews certain to bring God’s wrath.”
- They’re not so hot on Catholics, either: “Catholics are the meanest, most violent people on Earth, and their churches are filled with filthy fag priests.”
- Plus, they love them some protesting military funerals. Another fun quote from Phelp’s big bag of out-of-his-fucking-mind: “Military funerals are pagan orgies of idolatrous blasphemy where they pray to the dunghill gods of Sodom and play taps to a fallen fool.”
What a piece of fucking shit, huh? I wouldn’t spit or piss on these people if they were on fire, much less go out and protest some soldier’s funeral as his bereaved family looked on. The world would be a much better place if people like this would just throw themselves into active volcanoes. Fuck them and fuck their bullshit form of hateful Christianity.
